Two Hundred Hectares of Vineyards in the Heart of Salento
Azienda agricola Reale is located in the municipality of Cellino San Marco, on a flat area of about 210 hectares, mostly planted with vineyards and the rest with uliveto, con nuove piante resistenti alla Xylella.
The Ionian Sea is 20 km to the west and the Adriatic Sea 10 km to the east, ensuring a temperature range thanks to the cool sea breezes that blow over the Salento peninsula at night.
Today we grow Negroamaro, Primitivo, Chardonnay, Malvasia Bianca and Nera, Susumaniello, Verdeca.
The vines are trained using the espalier system with spurred cordon, with a high number of plants per hectare, between 4,700 and 5,300 depending on the variety. Un accorgimento che consente di limitare la quantità di grappoli per ceppo, arrivando ad una produzione per ettaro tra gli 8.000 e i 10.000 Kg.
The estate's soils are sandy-silty and reddish in colour, originating in the upper Quaternary, with medium-high permeability, low to moderate limestone content and a sub-alkaline pH between 7 and 8.50.

The Winery, with its industrial design, is just a few hundred metres from the estate. Here, using the latest technology, we make our wines in our own clean and elegant style, and manage all our logistics.
